• San Francisco Bay Area: $1,300 for a full day visit, and $700 for a half day visit.

  A full day visit includes:

  • Two 45 minutes presentations plus 15 minutes Q&A each;
  • A small group discussion or classroom visits (30-40 minutes );
  • Book signing

  • One 45 minutes presentation plus 15 minutes Q&A;
  • Book signing

  Outside of San Francisco Bay Area: $1,300 per day plus travel expenses.

If the entire day is booked by one school, the author will do:

If the day is shared by two schools, the author will do:

• One 45 minutes presentation plus 15 minutes Q&A at each school;

Travel expenses include air ticket, hotel, meals and rental car. It varies as follows. If the entire trip is only one day (one school or shared by two schools), the travel expenses will be $200 more.

• West coast: $300 per day
• East coast: $400 per day
• Between coasts: $350 per day

Notes:

• If nearby schools would like to share a day to reduce the cost, the schools should coordinate the schedules. 15 minutes break plus travel time between presentations is preferred.
• Three-day trips are recommended for cost and time effectiveness. The librarian's Internet network is an effective channel to recruit nearby schools.
