TOUR OVERVIEW 

Our programs run 16 days in length, including 35 hours of instruction and workshops, combined with travel and sightseeing. 

Tui NaThe uniqueness of our programs is that participants will have hands-on training and practice under the supervision and assistance from some of the most experienced medical staff in China. You will gain a far deeper understanding of traditional Chinese medicine through this intensive study. 

There are three programs to chose from: 

    Program A: Qi Gong Program 
    Program B: Tui Na (massage) Program 
    Program C: Acupuncture & Moxibustion 
EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES

The majority of the study will be intensive instruction and practice on your own body, with each other, and on patients at the hospitals under the close supervision of the medical staff. Other professional activities may include: 

  • Attend treatments at the Traumatology Department or Tui Na Research Center to observe how the hand manipulates joints, muscle tissue and bones to restore the proper function of the nerves. 
  • Participate in Qi Gong practice at the Qi Gong Center with a Qi Gong master and other participants.
  • Attend acupuncture and moxibustion treatments to understand the power of this alternative medicine. 
  • Visit a Chinese herb medicine store to observe the thousand types of Chinese herb medicine and the traditional way of processing them.
  • Visit a village clinic in Beijing to see first hand the medical facilities and conditions for farmers, who represent the majority of the 1.2 billion Chinese population.

MEMBER BENEFITS  

  • The credits will be recogized by some of the Board of Medicine as Continuing Education credits.
  • Medical education programs can still be tax deducted under current tax laws.
  • A designated professional staff and an interpreter will be available during the study portion. There will be both a national tour guide who will accompany the group for the whole trip and a local tour guide from each city.
  • Spouses or other travel partners can be included at minimum additional cost.

COST 

1. Plan A: $3100/person (16 days visit 5 cities). The price includes
  • Round trip air fare from San Francisco to China
  • All ground and air transportation in China
  • All accommodations at four-star hotels (additional $500 for single occupancy)
  • All meals except two when you have some free time shopping
  • Sightseeing and admission to cultural events
  • Tuition and translation fees
